Education Architecture
BPSM has an extensive portfolio of education architecture projects, ranging from specialist, high-level tertiary facilities for universities, through to robust learning areas for detention centres, and ground-breaking, vibrant Early Learning Centres.
We recognise that students learn in different ways, and our designs reflect that by going beyond the layout of classrooms, to the broader consideration of the surrounding learning areas to include quiet spaces for reflective and one-on-one time, and open learning areas to include the outdoors, encouraging creative learning and an appreciation of the wider environment.
We also overlay our design with social areas, circulation, weather protection, supervision, security and maintenance planning, all of which reinforce the fundamental concept that all school spaces need to support the learning activities – rather than adapting the teaching style to suit an inflexible space.
