Hartz Mountain Visitor’s Hut
Raminea, Tasmania
Hartz Mountains National Park is located in the South of Tasmania and is a listed Tasmanian Wilderness World Heritage Area. The national park is very popular with locals and tourists, alike, with stunning views and great walks through the remote mountains. The visitor’s hut provides much needed shelter in this, the edge of the southern wilderness.
BPSM Architects designed and constructed the hut to be sympathetic in scale and materials to the surrounding environment. Purposely rugged in construction and modern in design, the site was carefully protected during the building process with a proportion of construction taking place on site.
