Mt Mawson Concrete Pour

Today we saw the pouring of the first concrete slabs for the Mt Mawson Day Shelter project. As the winter weather at Mt Field National Park can make construction treacherous or the site inaccessible, the beginnings of the construction works are being carried out off site, like these slabs which are being poured in sections at a warehouse in Hobart. Once weather conditions  improve, the slabs will be carefully transported up the mountain for construction on site.
